Older Episodes No Longer Available?

As of January 1, 2009 older episodes of the podcast will not be available for some time.  The company that was hosting all the audio files is closing its doors, and until other arrangements can be made past episodes won’t be listed on the Relic Radio site.

Once a new home is found, the shows will slowly be brought back from limbo.  Links to files will have to be changed one at a time which is a bit time consuming, so these changes will take a bit.

It is my hope to make all the past episodes available again, but I’m not sure what will be happening.  There are hundreds of shows in the archive, and finding suitable resources at a less than expensive price may be difficult.  I’ll do my best though!

New shows will still be coming!  The holidays, and a power outage that lasted two days, has slowed things down a bit this week but we’ll be back on track soon.  At this time The Horror! podcast will be cut back to once a week, but I’d like to go back to twice a week when it’s possible again.  The Relic Radio Show and Case Closed will be encoded at a lower bit rate to decrease the file size.  This really only affects my voice (you can hear it on the last episodes) but the old radio shows should be mostly unaffected.  Those files are lower quality to begin with, and by cutting the file size those shows can still be an hour long.

Radio At War is on hiatus for awhile.  It’s the least popular of the shows, and I want to focus on getting Relic Radio back to where it was.  This isn’t the end of that show, at least as things stand now.

I’ll keep you all updated here, and in the forums about all of this.  It’s a major pain in the rear, but at least new stuff will keep coming!
